Day 1: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by the driver/guide and drive for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. After a full day in the park, you will drive to Maromboi Tented Lodge, where you will have dinner and overnight inside the park.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Today you will wake up early in the morning to catch the sunrise. You will then continue to explore a different part of Tarangire. This park covers an area of 2850 square Kilometers, giving you a variety of wildlife to explore from animals, birds, ancient baobab trees and the diverse landscape. Dinner and overnight will be at Maromboi Tented Lodge.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park & Cultural tour

After breakfast, you will exit Tarangire park and drive to Lake Manyara. Also known as the home of the tree climbing lions, Lake Manyara is a relatively small but diverse park, with a Salt Lake covering large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons making it a home to thousands of flamingos and over 300 other bird species. Its diverse landscape offers grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After lunch, you will later engage in a walking cultural tour in Mto wa Mbu. Dinner and overnight will be at Plantaion Lodge

Day 4: Central Serengeti

After breakfast you will depart for Serengeti. A long and bumpy road will take you in about 4 to 5 hours of a fascinating game on route driving up the crater highlands towards the vast plains of Serengeti. You will stop for a picnic lunch before you check in the park for an afternoon game drive. After catching the sunset, you will proceed to Serengeti Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Central to Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, do a game on route to Northern Serengeti. Arrive at the Mara River for lunch, then continue with watching the crossing of the great wildebeest migration. Game drive will be for the whole day until sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at TWC Mara Katikati Camp.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti

This day will be special for tracking the migration. After catching the sunrise, you will go to the Mara River to witness the crossing of the migration. Later you will return to TWC Mara Katikati Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Northern to Central Serengeti

Today we head out and start to explore at sunrise. There is more to Northern Serengeti than large mammals, more than 500 bird species recorded, ranging from the oversized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the savannah. We will continue to search for Serengeti wildlife and drive to Serengeti Serena Lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Today we will wake up very early in the morning (around 6am) for a sunrise game drive and to spot the animals when they are most active. We will then stop at a picnic site to enjoy breakfast in the bush and continue with the game drive followed by lunch and continue to Ngorongoro where we will have dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge .

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

Today we will get in the safari vehicle at 6am and descend to the crater with our packed breakfast. This stunning place will offer you with almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino and if we are lucky, we might spot one. Measuring an area of 260 Kilometers square and extending about 20km in diameter, we will need probably 5 to 6 hours to explore it. We will then head back to Arusha.

Dinner and overnight will be at Forest Hill Carnival Hotel.

Day 10: Arusha National Park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:45am and drive for an hour to the park’s entry gate. Arusha National Park has an awe-inspiring blend of vegetation which includes swamp, grasslands and montane forest, and of course the mountain slopes of Meru which are swathed in tropical rainforest. It is a home to the black and white colobus monkeys and flamingos at the Momella lake. It’s a unique eco- system that attracts thousands of animals and birds including the flamingos. A walking safari will get you up close to the animals. You will later exit the park and drive back to Arusha to end your safari.
